Rajasthan seer dies by suicide, blames BJP MLA in last note

A seer died by suicide in the Jalore district of Rajasthan on Friday evening allegedly over a land dispute. The seer has accused a BJP MLA of abetment to suicide in his final note.

Jalore (Rajasthan): A seer died by suicide in front of Hanuman ashram near the Jaswantpura village area in the Jalore district of Rajasthan on Friday evening allegedly over a land dispute. The seer identified as Ravinath mentioned the land dispute in his suicide note accusing BJP MLA Bhinmal MLA Poora Ram Choudhary of forcing him to take the extreme step.

Other seers have accused the police of hiding the note and have refused to take the monk's body. According to the police, MLA Choudhary is the owner of the land behind the ashram. A dispute arose when the MLA planned to construct a path on the land owned by the ashram.

"A probe has been initiated," Jalore SP Harshvardhan Agarwal said. Meanwhile, Congress has formed a 3-member committee under the direction of PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasara to make a factual inquiry into the matter and submit the report to the PCC. Ministers Ramlal Jat, Arjun Singh Bamania, PCC secretary Bhuraram Sirvi are included in this committee.
