New Delhi: With the return of Indian Air Force (IAF) wing commander Abhinandan Varthaman, severalpredictions are being made in anticipation ofthe Indian government's next moveagainst terrorism. Speaking to ETV Bharat, Brigadier S K Chatterjee (Retd) analysed the probable aspects of the release.
Whilethe return of Wing Commander was celebrated all across the country defence expert Chatterjee responding to a question of terrorists being active in Pakistan said,"At this stage nothing is expected from Pakistan to do in terms of handling terrorism, because that will be something like accepting all those charges which are floating in the air."
He further added: "The world knows that they are terrorist camps in Pakistan, be it Balakot, Chakoti or some other region."
"We have to get to the root of the problem and that is the terror camps over there, " said Defence expert SK Chatterjee.
Analysing the Pakistani army's influence in running the country's democracy he said that the army holds more power in maintaining the governance rather than the elected government.
Situations between the two countries became tense after the Puwalmaattack. The tension further aggravatedafter the IAF carried out strikes in terrorist camps in Pakistan.
