California: Beautiful wildflowers fed by recent rains are painting Southern California's deserts in a wave of color. This year's so-called super bloom is shaping up to be among the best ever.

"My buddy told me that super bloom was going on," tourist Stephen Rawding said as he wandered around Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. "He said it was more beautiful than in 2017 so I came out here with a friend, my girlfriend, and we are checking it out. And it's unreal. It's just like they said. So, beautiful."

Steady rainfall over the past several months in the desert has created the optimal environment for the yearly bloom of flowers, allowing them to flourish even more than previous years.
