Youth Killed Amid Drunken Brawl In Telangana's Yadadri Bhuvanagiri

Bommalaramaram: What began as a late-night drinking session among friends ended in a shocking murder in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district of Telangana, exposing how a trivial dispute can spiral into irreversible tragedy.
A youth lost his life following an argument over the final drops of liquor, often referred to as "lucky drops" in a bottle. Police said the incident took place on the outskirts of Medipally village in Bommalaramaram mandal, near the Shameerpet stream.
The deceased, identified as Ragir Madhu, along with his friends Gandhari Charan and Ootla Naveen, had gathered at a real estate venture site on Tuesday night. The trio reportedly consumed four bottles of alcohol between late night and the early hours of Wednesday, police said.
Trouble began when Charan and Naveen finished the remaining liquor without sharing it with Madhu. Enraged, Madhu allegedly attacked them first. In retaliation, the duo struck him with an iron rod, which proved fatal, and Madhu died on the spot, police added.
To cover up the crime, the accused dumped Madhu's body in nearby bushes along the stream and kept the incident hidden for three days.
However, gripped by fear and guilt, they eventually confessed to their family members and later surrendered at the Bommalaramaram police station on Friday.
Bhongir Rural Circle Inspector Chandrababu and Sub-Inspector Srisailam visited the spot, recovered the body, and initiated further investigation. "A case has been registered, and all angles are being examined," police officials stated.
Preliminary reports indicate that all three individuals, including the deceased, had prior involvement in a marijuana-related case, they added.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, highlighting how alcohol-related disputes can quickly turn deadly.
