Two Years After Completing 28-Month Jail Term In Pakistan, Rajasthan Man Found Dead In Pali
According to the police, the man took the extreme step at his room inside the premises of a factory where he worked as a labourer.

Pali: A labourer from Rajasthan who had inadvertently crossed the border and was jailed by Pakistan five years ago, allegedly died by suicide in Jodhpur on Monday night.
The deceased has been identified as Gemararam, 24, son of Jamaram Meghwal, a resident of Kumharon ka Tiba under Bijrada police station limits of Barmer district. He died by suspected suicide inside his room in Jadan area of Pali district where he was working as a labourer.
Jadan outpost in-charge ASI Ramniwas under Shivpura police station said that as soon as the information of the incident was received, the police reached the spot and took the body in their custody and sent it to Bangar Hospital for post-mortem. The body was later handed over to the family after a post-mortem, he said. No suicide note of any kind written before suicide was found from the spot as per Ramnivas.
Caught By Pakistani Army In 2020
The deceased Gemararam had accidentally crossed the border and reached Pakistan on 4 November 2020 due to an alleged affair with a Pakistani girl. He was caught by the Pakistani Army and was subsequently jailed for 28 months.
Booked Under POCSO Act On Return
According to local sources, when Gemararam returned to the village in the year 2023, the neighbours filed a case against him under POCSO. Gemararam was subsequently jailed for another 12 months. He soon returned to his village Tiba after the jail term and tried to live a normal life by working as a labourer in a factory in Pali where he allegedly took the extreme step.
Police have launched an investigation to ascertain the reasons behind the suicide.
