Press Trust of India, also known as PTI, is India’s first multilingual news agency. PTI was registered in 1947 and started functioning in 1949. PTI provides approximately 1,500 copies and 200 photographs per day. With a presence in nearly every district and small town across India, PTI covers almost all the major happenings across the country and beyond.
